Samoa

Not to be confused with its near neighbour, American Samoa, Samoa is becoming an increasingly popular tourist destination. It has two comparatively large islands, Upolu and Savai'i. The capital, Apia, is on the former. It is a laid-back town with good nightlife options. The islands size means they have plenty to offer, from miles of beautiful beaches to expansive and exotic upland areas with pretty villages and several national parks which are perfect for exploring.

There are a number of fine waterfalls. Rugby is hugely popular. In 2009 the country switched to driving on the left to bring it into line with its neighbours.
