Saint Martin

Saint Martin is a French overseas collectivity on the island of (confusingly) Saint Martin. It is one of the smallest islands in the world to be divided between two countries. Saint Martin occupies the northern half while Sint Maarten is a part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands on the southern half. People can travel freely between both. The island is a popular stopoff for cruise ships. Club Orient is a famous nudist resort in Saint Martin.

Saint Martin seceded from Guadeloupe in 2007, but remains in the European Union while being outside of France. Most beaches have hotels attached, and most tourists come to just relax.
