Macau is gambling heaven. It has invested heavily in creating some of the world's biggest, most outlandish casinos such as The Venetian – the largest in the world with 3000 suites. The old town on the other island is heavily influenced by its status as a Portuguese possession for several hundred years.

It was the first and last European colony in Asia. There are many old churches, fortresses, narrow alleyways and a terrific park on a hill overlooking it. Nevertheless, it is dominated by the outrageous Grand Lisboa casino. The Macau Tower offers one of the highest bungee jumps in the world.
