Seychelles is a hugely popular destination for couples, and particularly honeymooners (The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge spent theirs there). It has a large number of quality resorts on its 5 main islands, any of which can be easily explored in a few hours. It is famous for the quality of its beaches and its watersports.

The main islands are hilly and well-forested, offering some excellent, if short, drives. Its proximity to Somalia and its associated piracy problem has decreased its allure with sailors. English, French and Creole are all official languages. Giant tortoises can be seen on many of the islands.
